Abstract

Literary translation presents multifaceted linguistic challenges, particularly between typologically distant languages such as English and Uzbek. This review examines key obstacles including semantic, syntactic, and cultural issues, drawing on anthropocentric linguistic paradigms that emphasize human cognition and cultural embedding in language. Insights from grammatical analyses and foreign language teaching methodologies, such as gamification, are integrated to highlight potential mitigative strategies. The discussion underscores the translator's role in bridging cultural gaps while preserving literary essence, with implications for pedagogy in Uzbekistan.
